Lupton & Place takes delivery of a Buhler SCD84 diecasting cell

A full diecasting cell comprising of a Buhler SCD84 machine, Wollin die sprayer, Westofen dosing furnace, ABB robot and Reis 65 tonne press is being installed at Lupton & Place's site in Burnley. This takes the number of diecasting cells to 12, and increases capacity to 900 tonnes locking force thereby allowing the production of larger aluminium castings.

Lupton & Place continues its investment in CNC machine tools

In response to increases in demand from existing customers, and the introduction of two new major customers, Lupton & Place have ordered 2 further vertical CNC machining centres to complement its extensive machine range.

Delivery has been taken of a Doosan DNM 650 Vertical Milling Machine, equipped with a Kitigawa rotary indexing table and Renishaw spindle probe.

Early February 2010 will see the installation of a Fanuc Robodrill Alpha T21iFA VMC, complete with a Fanuc rotary indexing table and Marposs spindle probe.
